Spring Clouds

This design is so easy to do! The color combinations for it are endless. I mainly used some spring pastel colors, and it turned out so well. The base color is Pure Ice: Bikini, and it is such a lovely blue. Probably one of my favorites. It's a nice creme pale blue, just a bit darker than a sky blue. So pretty! The white is Snow Me White by Sinful Colors, just a standard creme white. The purple is Lacey Lilac by Sally Hansen. Painting the purple over the white really brings the color out as well. On to the photos!

Animated Cartoony

This design has become quite popular recently, so I wanted to give it a try. More popular color choices are red and teal, but I wanted to use this nice blue. Also, this is my second use of my matte top coat, the first being with my candy corn nails. These are so easy to do! I used a dotting tool and striper (eyeliner brush) to get the border and "shine" effect.

The colors are all from the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear collection and are Blue Me Away, White On, and Black Out. The matte top coat is by NYC New York Color.

Have you tried these?

They are still a little messy.

Blog Updated and Blog Buttons

After deciding on a different name for the blog, I decided to tweak it a bit and added some lovely blog buttons leading to some social networking websites. There is now a facebook page,  pinterest, and twitter button to lead you to those sites if interested. I also added a bloglovin' button to follow the blog there since google reader is no longer available.

To get blog buttons for your blog (in a variety of different colors) go to this page: Blog Buttons
She has already taken the work out of creating the buttons for you, so all you need to do is the html codes for your blog.

Possible Blog Name Change

I know it's pretty early to be thinking of a name change, but I have discovered there is another "cutiecles" blog. I should have known that when the url name was taken when registering on the blogger site, but oh well, haha. I just don't want viewers to confuse the two blogs, for example, looking for that blog instead of this one...because hers is great! And it has been online a much longer time than mine, so I don't want to be a name stealer. Don't worry though, I'll edit my current url and bloglovin' if you are a follower of this blog to make sure you are still following it. Now just to come up with a new name!

New York Color Block

A new colorful color block mani! Make sure to use bright colors to really make this look stand out. I used purple and yellow since they compliment each other. The yellow is NYC New York Color's Midtown Mimosa and the purple is Lexington Lilac. The pink stripe was made with a pink striper that came in a 3-pack of the Kiss Nail Art stripers. To get clean lines, I used striping tape. I know the pink lines aren't completely straight and have the same amount of thickness, but it was my first try with a striper instead of using an old eyeliner brush dipped in polish.

Anyway, really like the yellow color. It's darker than the other yellows I have, and reminds me of mustard! It also looks similar to Nicole by O.P.I's "Hit the Lights" from the Selena Gomez collection.

What are your go to spring colors?

Sinful Colors

I usually purchase my cheaper polishes from Walmart because they're more affordable. The Walmart I shop at has an odd arrangement of polish brands. It has a wall for Revlon, Pure Ice, Sally Hansen, Maybelline, New York Color, and Hard Candy. There is also a small area that usually has a box of two mini Essies, but the duo pack of a blue and orange are the only ones available. There is also two or three Salon Perfects and Fergie colors by Wet n Wild which I find odd because they don't even sell Wet n Wild products, and the Salon Perfects are scattered throughout the comsetic section of the store.

So I'm browsing the selection of colors to see what has been restocked and whatnot and right as I am about to pay, I come across this:

The store has received its first display of Sinful Colors. The display goes all the way around with a huge selection of different colors, it is not just limited to the one side shown. I did not purchase any because I was already paying, but next time, I'll browse a bit more and pick some up. Normally I would have to visit Target or Walgreens to pick up this brand, and those stores are in a separate city than the one I am in, so I can only go to those stores when I know I'll be around them. This display does not have any of the limited edition polishes on it.

What are your favorite colors from this brand? Any must haves? Let me know!
