Thanksgiving Dotticure

Happy Thanksgiving Americans! Yes, today I cooked and cleaned and stuffed my belly full of food to the point that I didn't want to move at all unless it was painting my nails. SO, I decided to just do a simple dotticure inspired by an instagram post by @nailstorming (she's amazing and her nails are always super shiny and uniform and I'm forever jealous).

I used a sheer creme base (OPI - You Callin' Me A Lyre?) to smooth out my smile line and then applied the dots using China Glaze - Seas The Day and If In Doubt, Surf It Out (both 2014 summer collection) and Sally Hansen - Mellow Yellow and Golden-I (both in the core X-treme Wear collection).

I can never get my nails the same shape across my entire hand and it frustrates me! >_<

Anyway, it is Thanksgiving and I am thankful for my family, my fiance, my health, my ability to be able to afford and attend classes for nursing, and my home. I am also very thankful that I didn't have to work today because I know there are a bunch of people who did - and not just in retail. There are people in emergency services, hospitals, and over seas that don't get the pleasure of having a day off. It upsets me that these people probably didn't make it home for dinner with their families because of the necessity of their jobs. So I am thankful for my day off, but I am also thankful for the people who could not take the day off because they are saving lives or serving the country. And thank you to my followers who read my blog, instagram posts, or support my nail art journey. Happy Thanksgiving.

Matte Navy Flakies

Greetings! My mani is brought to you by the lovely but cold fall season here in North Carolina, AND the fact that Pokemon Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby will be released this week!

I used China Glaze - One Track Mind from their 2014 fall line and topped it with Color Club - Snow Flakes, then mattified it with NYC Matte Me Crazy. This blue is amazing! The formula is a one coater! I also picked up a few (actually 9.......) of the China Glaze Twinkle (holiday 2014) collection as well, so swatches of those will be up eventually. The ones I picked up were:

Feeling Twinkly
Pine-ing for Glitter
I'd Melt For You
Chillin' With My Snow-mies
De-Light
No Peeking!
Meet Me Under the Stars
Dancing and Prancing
December to Remember

I still want to get Out Like a Light but my Sally's didn't have it and said they may not be restocking them...I will not be purchasing the 2 reds from this collection, I have enough reds. Also for OPI I will be getting Snow Globetrotter and Comet In the Sky, but those are the only 2 that stand out for me from their holiday collection.
